Don Ketterer Fund

The Council Rock Music Department is fortunate to have a program that provides musical instruments for students in financial need. This instrument program was set up in memory of Don Ketterer. The instruments in this collection are on loan and returned when a student graduates or discontinues their participation in the music program.  

The Don Ketterer program also accepts financial donations. Money in this fund is used to purchase instruments and repair donated instruments. Students in all Council Rock schools use these instruments every year. We appreciate your support of this program!

New Works Initiative

COMING SOON - Future projects will include NEW commissioned works for the Council Rock Music Program. 


The New Works Initiative is a forthcoming committee whose primary mission is to bring new works into the band, orchestra, and choir repertoire. Through the commissioning and premiere of original music, the Initiative will support composers, expand the living repertoire, and ensure that new voices and new ideas continue to shape the future of ensemble music. By investing in the creation of new works, the New Works Initiative will allow Council Rock Music students to take part in music-making at its point of origin, contributing to works that will live beyond their time in our program.

The Music Teachers’ Scholarship 

The Music Teachers’ Scholarship is a cash award given to a senior from each Council Rock High School who will be studying music in college. Students who wish to be considered for the award are interviewed by a committee of music teachers and then asked to perform a selection. The awards are presented at the awards night at each high school.

Donations

The Council Rock Music Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization. Your donation will go to help the music students of Council Rock School District. Please feel free to donate freely by either contacting us directly or clicking on the PayPal Donations Link. 





Faculty Recital

The Council Rock Music Faculty produce a Faculty Scholarship Concert which raises funds for high school seniors majoring in music in college.   The Council Rock Music Staff and Faculty thank all that participated and attended the 2018 recital. Next concert is coming in February 2027!
